Who is Arno?

A qualified teacher of dramatic art, Arno Huibers has steeped himself in clowning. He was a clown with the giant Dutch Circus Holiday 1980/ 1983 and Sjoukje Dijksrtra (1982), in the French three-ring winter circus Bouglione in Paris (1980/ 1981), the Dutch National Circus Ross Hanson (1985), the world circusfestivals in Paris (1985) and Verona (1987) and in the Italian clowning spectacular 'Il circo una festa' (Turin, Verona, Venice 1984), Darix Togni 'Florileggio' (Arena van Verona1987), wintercircus Eindhoven (NL. 1987) and the wonderful ode at Federici Fellini in 'Antico Circo Orfei' (Rome, 1994/1995).

Mimicry, subtle humour and music distinguish Arno Huibers as the gentle, poetic clown. This sets him apart from the traditional rumbustious image of a clown. Arno Huibers has refined his clowning in the course of a series of theatre productions since 1985.

The quality of his work has been endorsed by many critics praise, both in The Netherlands and abroad. During the coming season Arno is offering several programmes that have proved successful in Germany, Belgium, France, Indonesia, The Antilles, Romania and Italy, as well as in the Netherlands.
